Cool store - spoiled (hilarious) brats in every direction - great location on the Champs-Elyses and did I mention cheaper prices than the USA?!

Its true! ?I bought my dream bag here and definitely saved a few hundred dollars between the conversion rate and receiving my VAT (tax) refund at the airport.

My number one piece of advice- come here with plenty of patience because it gets flooded with tourists who are buying zillions of items. The woman in front of me asked for 19 wallets- yes 19 wallets, no friggin lie! I must have waited over 30 minutes to be seen by a sales associate. Luckily mine was as sweet and professional as they come. I wasnt in and out of the store like I had hoped for but either way I bough my beautiful new bag in Paris, at the Louis Vuitton mothership baby!

Customer service was horrible. Knowing that you are about to spend hundreds if not thousands for an item in this store you would expect much better customer service. I dont know if it would be worth the 12% duty free to have to wait in line and feel like you were in a ctory to buy something.

I would rather pay a little bit more and buy at home knowing that you will get much better service.

Stay away if you can. There is a much smaller location in St. Germain and would say that you should try your luck at better service there.

On my first visit to Paris as a recent college grad on a lean budget years ago, I walked along Champs Elysee and saw the flagship Louis Vuitton store across the street. I couldnt afford LV at the time, so I told myself I would come back one day and buy my Louis Vuitton. Fast forward 7 years later, I made my way back through the miliar Champs Elysee and walked out proudly with my new Speedy 30.

Overall, shopping at Louis Vuittons flagship store was a positive and ecstatic experience.

-Excellent customer service and attentive retailers who were patient and did not make me feel rushed

    -Multilingual and knowledgeable staff

-The staff brought me tea and refreshments, and took me on a tour of the multiple floors

-The staff walked me to the door at the end and thanked me for my business

    -Fast tax return

It is 5-star shopping experiences and customer service like this that will make me a loyal LV customer for life.

Minus 1 star for the long wait inside and outside the store... but can you blame the other shoppers?

3 photos.. I didnt even attempt to go inside the Flagship store, besides it was after hours and Im not that much of a label whore to begin with...even IF I could afford to spend $3000 on a bag, I wouldnt.

PRIME TIME FLAG SHIP LOUIS VUITTON STORE IN PARIS

There was a line to get into this store.

    Yes, a fing line.

But the staff was professional and courteous about the wait.

    PURCHASED:

ARTSY AURORE - leather handbag (1,830 EUR)

ROSSMORE AMARANTE ?- clutch ?(750 EUR)

NEO CARTES GRAPHITE - mens wallet (168 EUR)

CURIEUSE ARORE - matching wallet to leather handbag (495 EUR)

Not sure if these were actually cheaper than US prices, but we were able to save with the TAX FREE shopping. The salesperson filled out the Global Blue forms. Remember to:

    (1) Bring a copy of your passport.

    (2) Get the forms stamped at the airport and then drop off the form AT the airport (designated postal boxes).

A bit over crowded and touristy.

    90% Asians, 10% other.

Enjoyed the service, space, and the vast selections.

RECOMMEND for all LV avid ns.

1 Check-in HereThis store is ntastic. From the towering outside cade to the beautiful inside floors, I was impressed. Each floor/room has a different feel to it. Its fun to just walk around the floors and inspect all the decor and items they have showcased as well as their collection of books. The first floor/entry is always ridiculously packed full of people and the SAs try their best to help everyone there but its very cutthroat.

If you come here, just go on to the higher floors; most of them have the same merchandise (and others you wouldnt see on the 1st) and they are FAR less busy. Your SA will help you with what you want anyway, so they can get you items from anywhere in the store.

I came in knowing exactly what I was going to buy (Joey Monogram Mulitcolore wallet), and the SA was very friendly and quick about getting it out. She gave me time to look at it and inspect and then escorted me to the counter and while waiting in line to pay we had a nice chat. She made sure I had all the VAT forms set, and when they charged my card they gave me the option to charge in Euros or USD (Hint: just charge Euros, your CCs exchange rate is cheaper). They wrapped up all my receipts, filled out the VAT form for me, handed me my bag and I was done. Amazing experience.

My sister and mom went in not knowing what they wanted and their SA helped them for a good hour to find exactly what they wanted, and they came out very happy as well.

I specifically waited to go to Paris to buy an LV item because of the price differential from those in the US. In California the Joey wallet I bought was $905 + 9.5% tax which would be around $1,000. In Paris, partially thanks to the depreciating Euro, the total came to be $706, and I got $61 back from my VAT refund, so the total cost was $645. Saving ~$350 was well worth waiting.

For VAT refund options, you have two:

Credit card refund, which is 12% back but takes several weeks - 2 months.

Cash refund, which is 10.8% back.

Now, for those wanting cash and leaving out of the UK (which I did), you have to go to the VAT refund office (3rd floor if in Heathrow T4, look for the large red sign). This is run by Travelex and as a result they will take a commission from your total VAT, which is about 2.8 pounds per item. Theres not much other option, so I just bit the bullet.

3 photosThis store has prime location...across the street from Arc de Triomphe in Champs Elysee. ?It has multi-floors of shoes, bags, belts, clothes, accessories, etc. ?They have the latest styles. ?I started shopping mid-day and got 2 purses. ?My mily and I were on a mission to get our dog a collar which was difficult to find - not because its rare but because the sales associates werent sure where they keep dog collars. ?We asked 3 different sales associates who gave us wrong information. ?We were ready to give up after an hour of searching but the extremely long line of people outside waiting to get in the store motivated us to stay in the store - we were rewarded.

The best part of this store is how attentive the SAs are. ?Theres plenty of them so each customer pretty much gets his/her own SA.

Beautiful store. ?The attention to detail was second to none. ?The design and flow were amazing and their policy to not allow the store to get crowded really helped in the experience. ?The staff were friendly, funny and helpful. ?We purchased 3 bags (2 for my wife and 1 for my mother-in-law) and we were happy to find that the prices were, in ct, less than in the states. ?This store could literally be classified as a museum in my opinion and it was well worth the wait in line to get in.

Cost: ??1,475 (~ $1,900 before VAT refund) for Damier Speedy 30, Damier Azur Neverfull MM and a Monogram Canvas Eva Clutch

This store is known to be the headquarters store of the Louis Vuitton company. This store is HUGE and has a huge selection of items to choose from. My wife absolutely had to come to this store while on our trip to Paris. Like all LV stores, you are paired up with a store associate who will help you through shopping adventure. And, like all the other stores, you are provided with very personal service. Our assistant was so helpful, because my wife tried out a LOT of purses because she couldnt settle on one for about an hour. Yikes! Finally, she purchased a bag for herself and a wallet for me. I was so impressed that our assistant had not last her cool while waiting during that hour. She was still as perky as can be after all that madness. After checking out, she even offered to engrave my name onto the wallet with no charge. Wow! Now, that is service, no buts about it. Just like any other tourist store, you can get a tax refund on your purchases the aiport.

Bought a couple of items (which I highly recommend to do because its at least 30% cheaper than buying it in the US). Youre limited to 2 items I believe because you can easily resell them here in the US due to the savings. They even put you in a database to keep track of stuff you buy. Some lady next to me got scolded for wanting to buy the same bag she bought in 2010! I placed items in my bric grocery bag before I walked out so as not to look like a douche and be a target for robbers... a tip I recommend if you plan on taking the metro!

Its a nice store with a nice staff. Wasnt offered a drink even though I was a paying customer. Maybe if I was an old wrinkly white woman..?

Finally... Dont forget to get your VAT refund before you go back home!

It would be fitting to let Louis Vuitton - Champs Elysees be my 100th review

This location is spectacular! It is large but easy to navigate and very well laid out. There are plenty of sales staff so I didnt have to wait around for help like some of the other luxury stores while in Paris. Actually one time I waited a bit, but a manager found someone to assist me right away. Yes I went twice. Lol.

After checking out, I was offered beverages while I waited to for the SA to pack up my goods. It was definitely luxury service from the beginning to the end because the SA even walked me to the door and thanked me for my purchases.

The prices are much better then the states when you include the VAT tax refund even with the exchange rate. Note: go to the customs tax office outside security not inside to get your stamp for your refunds.

If you are wanting to buy LV products and happen to be going to Paris, I would definitely wait and make your purchases here rather then at home in the States.

    Happy Shopping! xoxo

Ugh. This would be 1 star if the store itself and the selection werent so impressive. Also, despite the hubris, I was amused by the modified French flag on top of the building, where the middle white part is sandwiched between a V.

I was fortunate enough to not experience any lines outside or massive crowds inside. However, as a result of the huge influx of tourists that pass through the doors, the sales staff is not very friendly unless they know you intend to buy. I can imagine they go through many people who want to try but have no intention of buying. However, that does not excuse their rude behavior. Do not blatantly ignore me while I stand at the counter, and then tell me to wait while you converse with your coworker in French.

Its disgusting how quickly their attitude changes when they realize you actually intend to buy. The behavior of the sales people is borderline nauseating.

Oh, and to top it off, the sales associate forgot to give me the VAT form after filling it out.

1 photoAwesome experience as always! It was crowded as usual! We were here 5 years ago and it is so good to be back again! Remember to ask for a personal shopper asap as you walk in! most tourists didnt do that and they were pushing people around! We were there for nearly 2 hours and were served champagne! go up stair and check out the ceiling! it is truly a piece of art! Sales Person are not on commission so there is absolutely no pressure to buy but why come to Paris and not buy the best?Remember, ask for a sales person to help you asap and you will be treated like a rock star!

1 photoAn army of staff greet you as you walk in, and no wonder: all the chaos is on the ground floor. Shoppers flock to and fro, searching for the best merchandise to leave with. Youre probably in no danger of getting trampled, but window shopping isnt easy. If you need a breather, head upstairs where the crowd (or lack thereof) is more reasonable.

Thanks to salesperson Saori for helping us, plus providing tax forms so we didnt have to pay local tax - the biggest draw in terms of savings for out-of-town visitors, of course.

LV employs an impressive advertising machine, and their flagship store is appropriately opulent. Beyond bags, their clothes and shoes dripped money. Almost wish I wanted something, but Im glad Im not into luxury goods... at least, those I cant eat.

Bookmark this business to build your own list of fun ideas to check out later! class=i-wrap ig-wrap-common i-orange-bookmark-common-wrap bookmark>

Totally depends on what you want in this LV store.

If you plan to just visit the LV flagship store and cruise around to see their products, yes this is very very wonderful store, huge (4 story), nice window display and there are some products exclusively available in France/that store/even not in the market yet.

If you plan to buy something there to take advanage of VAT refund, here are tips which will greatly reduce your frustration:

    1. there is always a line outside the store but not very long. ?It moves very st like 15-20 mins. ?If you dont want to wait, get there in the morning like 10ish am.

    2. ?Have a few items you want to buy in mind before walking in there, ?Keep the model in hand and be fully prepared alot of them could be out of stock. ?LV store staff have no idea when the out of stock items will be available and they dont take reservation. ?What you can do is call their local hotline once awhile to find out and they will NOT take your credit card to reserve your items even if you are told the item is finally available.

    3. Once you are in the store, walk straight to the concierge desk immediately for help. ?The staff will page the manager to assign a sale staff to help you. ?Then wait at the store about 15 mins on the ground floor (better obvious spot), someone will approach you and get your items. ?This is totally useless to approach the sale staff yourself, the store is always busy and no one will help you (their attitude can even be somewhat rude). ?i had so much harsh time asking for even a catalog!!

    4. You can only buy one item there per day per passport. Upon payment be prepared to show your passport for non EU resident verification. ?The payment process can be long (given the busy store + typical slow customer service there). Be patient.

    5. Make sure you get the store receipt + the Global Blue VAT refund form (12% VAT refund from total 19.6% charged on all goods, the price tags shown are all tax included) ?Take both to get stamped at the airport custom desk closest to your terminal 3 hours prior to departure. ?Then show the stamped form at Travelex for immediately cash refund or back to your credit card. ?Or you can send the form back to Global Blue, which will take 5 weeks to process your refund.

Does it worth all this hassle to buy? ?yes when you find out you can save up to 25% compared with US retail price + sale tax.

Bookmark this business to build your own list of fun ideas to check out later! class=i-wrap ig-wrap-common i-orange-bookmark-common-wrap bookmark>

1 photoI dont really like Louis Vuitton and its monogrammed tyranny of the handbag world, but I never visit Paris without coming to the store on Champs-Elysees. ?My review will be limited because as I have never bought anything at a Louis Vuitton, I do not tend to flag down its sales associates. ?Still, I will tell you why you, the average tourist, should check this place out.

First of all, the building is extremely impressive. ?It towers on a busy corner of Champs-Elysees, and it couldnt be more ostentatious if it were a hot air balloon shaped like the Pope. ?It has huge display windows and massive gold letters spelling out LOUIS VUITTON on every available suce.

Once you go in, youll find the store is as massive as it looks. ?The main floor carries the accessories, naturally, and you can look at the pretty clothes upstairs. ?The clothes, I will say, are gorgeous, with museum quality construction and prices. ?The entire store is mobbed with tourists, and especially with Asians. ?Its true, my people are total incorrigible label whores.

In ct, one of the prime tourist attractions of the Louis Vuitton store is the Asian tourist presence itself. ?I was once told that on many days you can see a line of Asians out the door of the Louis Vuitton Paris shop. ?Ive only seen it once, but it was there clear as day. ?To be honest, the crowd was more mixed than I expected, but it was still a fun sight. ?Even if youre not a n of the L and the V, if you find larger-than-life retail and consumer mobs interesting, stop by this store.

Bookmark this business to build your own list of fun ideas to check out later! class=i-wrap ig-wrap-common i-orange-bookmark-common-wrap bookmark>

Growing lines out the door to get into this 4-story high-end building and there wasnt even a sale going on. However, this is home of LV.

    Observations (on a Saturday afternoon):

Majority of the clients were Asians (majority not understanding a single damn word of French or English) and were everywhere. Locals get in w/out the hassle of standing in line as long as they have proof of residency.

African bootleggers found in the cuts of Pariss side streets to sell you their bootleg .

Customers getting kicked out in the store for sneaking up and cutting my group at the showcases even when seen through visual contact, reps where helping us next.

Complete madness everywhere! Rioters, SWAT/Bomb Squad versions of the French Policia, sirens sounding out throughout PARIS, and malicious groups of organized teamed pick pocketers (which you can find more of at the Louvre musuem by the Mona Lisa) observed just yards away to come up on vulnerable ones.

And to top it all off, I only knew 5-8 words/phrases of the French language. ?

    Back to the GOODS:

You save between $100-800 by buying your vorite LV item. They also have brand-new unreleased items not in the USA yet. To make things sweeter you get 12% tax back money return for non EURO residents at the airport.

Overall, the 2 French men who (spoke English) helped me provided superb excellent customer service in purchasing something I wasnt never much of a n of to begin with. Merci!

There are four types of people in this store: LV lovers, new LV lovers because of this store, friends of LV lovers, and tourists. My friend loves Louis Vuitton so I had to stop as we were walking in down Champs Elysees. The store was crowded and filled with a only a few serious shoppers that the sales associates unfortunately have to sort through.

It was like a museum that an true LV lover would not leave empty handed. My jaw just dropped how beautiful everything was. It wasnt just the jewelry, bags, and accessories, but the layout was stunning. The use of the logo, lighting, space, mirrors, and product arrangement made it visually appealing.

I think it is a great tourist attraction.

I have nothing against Louis Vuitton but its just not my style. I dont like to rock monogram stuff and nor do I like anything that screams...Ive been branded.

As for the non-branded things...still not me.

This store is nice and not to mention I felt like I was at a club since they did bust out with the red velvet rope.

I tried to entertain myself by looking at the girl standing in front of me - REALLY REALLY BAD EXTENSIONS. It lasted a good 2 minutes.

A bit too much since why should you wait to get inside a store and not to mention its a huge store....nevertheless still not a n of Louis.

1 Check-in HereI am a LV n. ?I have been here several times and each time the experience is just as bad as the previous. ?The first time I went here, the store was super duper busy with people window shopping and the sales people serving idiots tourist who are only there to waste the salespersons time. (If you arent willing to spend $1000 on a purse for your 8 year old daughter, please dont waste time by having your child stand in front of the mirror looking at the purse only to walk out of the store empty handed.) ?I am standing there in front of the counter and looking directly at the salesperson and they dont even want to help a person who is going to buy but wait on people who isnt going to buy. ?Finally when I find someone to help me, they would try to help someone else and they forget that they were helping me first. ?So when I finally make my decision, I take their commission away to another person. ?I make it my business to wave my several large brown bags in their ce was I walk out the store. ?I have 5 bags that I purchased in France and only 2 from this store because it is a better experience to walk 5 blocks down the street and buy from the smaller store (if the smaller store carries the bag you want.)

I remember cursing the store security out because they thought that my friend stole a bag, even after he showed them the receipt!!!! ?They walked him to the salesman and had the salesman verified that he sold the 3 bags to my friend. ?The store manager apologized to me by FedEx-ing a care package to me and my friend. ?I felt the $300.00 FedEx bill made the experience somewhat forgivable.

2 photosIm not a really big LV n, but Ive always admired the quality of the bag. Well, as one of the Asian tourists in Paris, I made sure that I stopped in here. Im pretty sure LV store is one of the main attractions for most of the Asian tourists in Paris.

The first time I was in Paris, I saw a long line in front of the LV store and I thought that there was some special thing going on inside, so I waited in line too. Turned out it was a normal thing for a bunch of Asian tourists to wait in line to get in the LV store. Whenever I stopped in here, I always see more than 60-70% of the Asians in the store. I always feel like they are giving away free stuff in here cos its always so crowded. The store itself though is pretty massive. The bag displays are also nice.

Well, i guess if you are an LV worshiper, youd have to come and visit your mothership here.

Louis Vuitton is the first designer store I visited on my trip to Paris. What I found interesting was the long queue of people outside the shop and security guards standing tall by the door...from a distance it looked like people were waiting outside of a luxury night club.

I was blown away by the visual display and the merchandises and I was even more shocked with the prices.

I felt like I was in a museum than a shop, I didnt want to touch anything..well mind you I did manage to poke a bag lol. Excellent members of staff they were friendly and very polite. I did not end up buying any LV products

I expected greatness and was not dissappointed. ?I wish that every LV had this type of impeccable customer service. ?I wish I had budgeted for more items because it was less expensive than the US stores. I did however by myself a bulous pair of heels and saved on them. ?The selection is incredible! And there was an available associate at each turn in the packed store! The work was filled for my VAT refund at the checkout and it was off to another bulous store along our stroll of the Champs Elysees!!
