I just recently purchased a 1990 Acura Integra with 210,200 miles... For 400 bucks. I already know the car needs new struts and shocks and a new muffler or exhaust system. But it has the b18a1 engine (non vtech). Aside from the basic body work like a new fender and hood what other thing could I do to the car? I don't want to dump a lot of money into the car just enough to have fun and experiment.

You're gonna want to maybe have that engine rebuilt( bushings) or just get a new LS motor for around $600. Then if you want vtec just switch the head. After the engine is healthy enough for "fun" driving make sure you use synthetic oil.

Then go with you simple bolt ons, intake, headers, exhaust system, throttle body, intake manifold, etc

Good luck and have fun !

That is a good deal!! Anyway, you should replace any old or worn out parts (Internal, not cosmetic) before taking it to the next step and upgrading, because its an old car. Have fun
