In the bible, god and the people supposedly working for him do, and condone some things that would cause anyone else to be considered morally bankrupt. A lot of excuses are made for these behaviors and attitudes, for some reason god gets a free pass and people work really hard to justify the actions in some bizarre ways. Wouldn't it be easier, and more honest to simply admit that if we hold this god to his own moral standards he comes out smelling pretty bad? Can you be honest enough with yourself to admit that this god is a monster?

Since no examples of unacceptable behavior are given by the author its impossible to know what he is referring to.What we do know from reading the New Testament is that God sent Jesus to earth to replace violence-prone societal practices that were sometimes necessary to control a primitive people with such a high standard of moral conduct that few people are still able to meet them.No other faith has been able to beat:

Luke 6:27

But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you.:emot0:
