-- This was how we were to give to our enemies in the Old testament, before Christ

Proverbs 25:21
If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.

Proverbs 25:22
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the LORD will reward you

New testament verse on giving:
2 Corinthians 9:7
"Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

But Jesus had compassion, forgiveness and hope for his enemies, he ministered to them and casted out their demons...he didn't not travel from city to city handing out gifts to his enemies to in the hopes to heap burning coals on their heads and send them to hell:

John 3:17 " "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him" and we are not Jesus but we don't have to act like the devil and try to be "coal heapers upon other people"" or at least waste our time trying thinking we we can condemn other people.....this way for Yahweh is the real judge

...even as he was crucified and right before he died he said "Forgive them Father, they know not what they do....". Our goal shouldn't be to condemn our enemies but to love them and to help them know God. If your giving gifts and or prayers to or for another person for eternal torment or bad wishing you have wicked intentions. (New Testament verse on giving)

2 Corinthians 9:7
"Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
