    I have a Telus prepaid phone and can't use in the States?

    I want to be able to call home to Canada , any suggestions , I Heard of throw away phones that you buy there..are they good for long distance and how much do they cost?

    Oh I know there are land lines , but I need to be able to call from a cell

    Telus will not allow you to roam (use your phone anyware outside Canada if your on a prepaid plan, no exceptions it sucks. Now a throw away phone is what you have... a prepaid phone. It's considered a throw away phone as it's not really linked to you with a contract and fancy account, so it's easy to dispose of, just take out the sim and wipe the phone and done.
