are we suppose to get a better phone from telus when our phone is getting repair?

My aunt and I just send in our phone to repair my problem is that the phone they gave us is crap for example my cell phone is a HTC Desire and the phone they gave us was samsung galaxy apollo the one thing I used my HTC for was my music since my ipod died, but on this phone i can't listen to nothing since the ear phones won't work and people keep telling my aunt that Telus was suppose to give us a good phone just like our regular one.So are we suppose to get a better phone than what they gaved us or not, mind you we have to wait a month for repair and it's killing me because I listen to music everyday..... oh yea the guy said he had to give us this phone cuz that was the only phone they have
