How much does it cost to call the united states from telus cell phone?

I can't seem to find to the per minute rate to call the U.S. from Canada (I'm in my normal local calling area). Specifically I am trying to call Nevada, USA.
Can you tell me a little more about the gmail phone? I have an iPhone 4 and I have a gmail email address.
