Tips on buying a guitar I'll be taking outdoors?

I'm going to be buying an acoustic guitar. I live in Toronto, Ontario and the climate is fairly humid. Spring/ summer/ fall, I'll be playing outside on the sidewalk.

I'd like to know what kind of wood/ make/ brand/ shape/ whatever would be good. any suggestions?

Find the best laminated guitar you can.
while the solid wood guitars will sound better, they are also more sensitive to humidity and temperature changes

I would look at the Samick guitars, they are some of the best, for the lower prices, also Ibanez, and Yamaha.
