Do any younger people go on cruises to Alaska?

My fiance and I are looking at going on a cruise to Alaska for our honeymoon. We've learned that the Alaskan locals have nicknamed cruise ships "Newlyweds and nearly dead". Please someone tell me this isn't the case! Are the ships really considered God's waiting room?!?!!

Lol well they are quite expensive, it's just that most people who are older and decide they wanna spend a little to go on it do so, my grandmother did it last summer. But same with newlyweds I suppose, most younger people are busy getting careers going or raising kids and can't afford too. But it seems like a very fun trip regardless, I hope to move to Alaska sometime in the near future.
