i have a mazda b3000 truck how do i improve gas mileage i have done a long list of repairs and maintenance truck is at 200000 miles
    changed oil
    plug wires
    plugs
    air filter
    all fluids
    dist cap
    also fuel filter
u name it pcv valves changed
    tires properly inflated and balanced
    also used expensive fuel cleaner
no brakes are hanging up or bad wheel bearings
removed heavy topper gas improved about 3 miles per gallon
tried removing tail gate no difference up or down or gone

i need cheap ways im not gonna spend couple hundred bucks on cold air intake or mass air flow Sensor
also drilled a few small air holes in breather box went up about a mile per gallon
exhaust system new and yes new catalytic converter
no fancy wings or other crap like that to slow it down
and yes i use cruise Control and do 65 on interstate any real ideas

Free - Slowly accelerate from redlights
Free - let your car warm up before driving it (let it go from open loop to closed loop)
Free - Dont use the A/C
Free - Remove the spare tire (make sure your insurance has free roadside assistance..)
    50$ - K&N Air Filter
    ??$ - Replace O2 Sensors
Free - Put back on the tailgate, it actually helps relieve the aerodynamic drag that the roof then immediate flat back of the truck cab

Honestly? You've topped them all. Its a truck! You've prolly done everything I can think of that would improve the mileage that wouldn't cost much. Trucks use a lot of gas, and that's a known fact.

The only other things I can think of involves taking weight off the truck. If it has a back seat (sorry, not familiar with your truck) take the back seat out to lighten it up. You could remove your A/C system completely to get some weight off (although during summer if you open your windows for cool air, it might use more gas than using A/C would use) plus that would cost come money to remove it.

There's not much that you're gonna get that's any better instead of keeping your foot out of the fuel pump. Basically, you simply keep your vehicle maintained properly and it will get you down the road the best way it can.
