My desktop gadget (Power4gear) isn't working?

I recently had a virus in my ASUS G53J so I did a system restore, and my desktop background wouldn't change (fixed that), but my gadget Power4Gear won't work, it appears as it should but without the options to actually do anything (just a grey box with the graphic of the clock). When I click on it it used to take me to the control panel to switch my performance plans and stuff, but now when I click it it does nothing. Also I am a system administrator, I read that it wouldnt work unless I had BatteryLife.exe running, but I tried to start it manually via task manager and apparently its not an application.

Also, the buttons on my computer (control the preset colours like theatre mode, warm, cold, etc, and the performance button - change from performance mode, to battery mode, etc) don't do anything when I press them, but the button that controls the lights (right next to the non-working buttons) works fine

Go to the Power4Gear program files folder (C:\Program Files\P4G) and run BatteryLife.exe
