why cant you use apps on your notebook like for ipad?

i dont understand why were forced to buy ipad now why cant apps for ipad work with computers also

Only apps that are meant and designed for the iPad's touch screen are supposed to run on the iPad, just like apps that you can download for your netbook aren't supposed to run on the iPad.

the ipad reads and uses applications based on the operating systen for the desktop. in other words it comes with an operating systen instlled on it your note book comes with a operating system different then of the ipad which should be Mac OS lion.
