My iPhone says I have no memory even AFTER I delete apps and pics. Why and how to

fix? So I have an 8GB iPhone 3Gs and My memory is FULL. It says I have 0 bytes left in the info in the settings app even after I delete pics and apps. Why is this happening? Is there any way to force it to refresh its memory usage or something? I can't even snap a quick pic anymore!

CHECK YOUR TEXT MESSAGES INBOX!! My wife had the same problem with her phone and we finally found out that even though she had been deleting old videos from her camera roll, she had first sent those videos to her mother's ipad. So ALL THOSE VIDEOS were still in the text message inbox/outbox. We deleted just that one thread to her moms ipad and it freed up 9.5gb of "other space".My wife had been sending 1-2 videos per day of our daughter to her mother's ipad and even though she immediatley deleted the videos from her camera roll after sending the message, the videos were still being saved in text messages. If you send alot of photos/videos i suggest deleting those from your text messages routinely. Also if you receive alot of photod/videos.
