My chinchilla hates her new cage?

Hi, today i just bought my chinchilla a new cage. I know it takes about a day or two to get settled in. But today i'm noticing shes flipping her little dome upside down. Messing the shavings in the bottom. Shes gone nuts!! Does anyone know if she hates her cage or not.

    Thanks

Hi. My chinchilla had the same problem. I had a small cage for her before which was about 2 feet by one foot which is definitely too small for her, so i got her a three layered cage. Once i put her in she started scrambling around and had a lot of trouble she didnt like it. Its best to remove the layers and add them slowly later on after about a month add another layer then in another month add the 3rd. You should get her a small hideaway like a hut or something where she will feel comfortable in, because she may be intimidated by the size of the cage.

My other chinchilla died due to the cage. it was very uncomfortable but my brother did not recognize how frightened it was. It became really sick. So make sure she is comfortable and has a small "house" as a shelter in her cage.
