republicans spend as well when they are in office,just on dumb crap like weapons and war and walls.why do they think they are above all when they cant even help out poor people here,and want it all to go to companies that give money to republican intrests and agendas??

It is a tried and true right wing tactic know as the "two Santa Claus theory" In this strategy Republicans borrow and spend when in office to give the impression of a strong economy and then do everything to stop spending during a Democratic presidency to give the impression of a national crisis. Look up Jude Winniski or "two Santa Clause" and you will see this spelled out in detail. The fact is that Republican leadership is quite aware of the hypocrisy, but they also are well aware that their base finds hypocrisy among Republicans to be quite acceptable.
