A friend and I were both given reprimands after tomfoolery involving a shop fixture and a major retail store when we were 15 in 2005. We were told that the reprimands would be wiped from our records when we turned 18 unless we got in trouble again, so we didn't really care too much as we knew this was unlikely.

I'm aware that the law has since changed and now reprimands remain on file until you reach 100 (or more likely, die) but I'm not sure when this change was made exactly. I turned 18 in May 2007.

I wouldn't have looked into this if I hadn't been wrongly pulled over in suspicion of burglary some point in 2009 when police checked me out there and then and brought up the offence from 2005 (which I assumed had been wiped from the books).

Obviously this is a concern in regard to CRB checks, also I'm not too sure if reprimands actually appear on standard CRB checks or just enhanced ones so if someone could answer this too it would be much appreciated.

Cheers
