my boyfriend is a great guy, but lately we've been getting mad at each other for the dumbest things. he says he loves me, but things have gotten really awkward, and it makes me feel like there is no bond between us.
i decided to make small changes, so today when we went out i tried to:
1. feel more relaxed. smile/laugh more
2. thank him for small things.
3. genuinely listen to him talk
4.he hasn't been holding my hand lately, so i didn't try to hold his either.
5. when we came to an awkward silence, i didn't try to leave like i usually do. instead i relaxed and let it pass.
6. did not get defensive when he said things that bugged me.
day 1 results: he seemed a little happier and we did not fight at all. he started wanting to hold my hand again. i think he noticed my genuine interest and he shared a LOT about himself (usually there is awkward silence). he tells me he loves me, but i still feel a bit insecure. i'm trying to be more easygoing... do you think these things would help a relationship?
