Everything I've read and heard tells me that women like funny guys. But I'm wondering if there's such a thing as being too funny. Everyone in my circle knows me for my sharp, sarcastic wit. I usually don't offend anybody, but I'm the guy people look to for a sardonic remark on whatever's going on at a given moment. When I don't have some biting commentary on hand, it seems like people are disappointed in me.
I like joking and having fun--it's a big part of who I am--but I'm concerned it might be off-putting to women. I don't know if they perceive me as a potential partner, or take my interest in them seriously. So I'm asking the women out there, are you attracted to comedians? Or is there a point where a guy's funniness disqualifies him as a mate?
For the record, I don't have any problem being serious when a situation calls for it, or in having normal conversations.
