Do most dogs whine in their kennels?

My first dog, a Yorkshire Terrior, did not mind her kennel at first. We would put her in there everytime we left or went on vacation, and she didn't mind. But about 6 months later, she would bark nonstop when we had her in there. We don't keep her in the kennel anymore(she's 5 years old). But now my sister just got another dog, about 6-8 weeks old, and she is a lab mixed with something else(waiting for vet results), and she whines constantly when we put her in the kennel. We keep her inside for now because she's still very young, but my sister got it for free from the pound so we don't know if there's anything wrong with her yet.

So my question is, do most dogs whine and bark constantly when they're in their kennels? Will she get over it with time? Thank you for taking your time to read this and hopefully can provide an answer.

It depends on the dog. There is nothing wrong with her. It's normal. Every dog is different.
