My family doesn't eat much vegetarian or vegan dishes. They are more interested in eating proteins like fish, meat, etc. So what are some dishes that I could introduce to them that are vegetarian or vegan that they would like. I just want to incorporate more healthy dishes into our diet.
Something that they even won't notice the lack of meat, etc.

This is a serious question and I'm not trying to offend anyone.

I would set here and type a few recipes but I actually know of a great site. I used to be vegan myself. You could even make them a tofu cheesecake without them ever knowing the difference =) but VegWeb has tons of recipe's. Hope you find one they may like ^^ good luck!

Well if you are not vegetarian you don't have to cut out meat to be healthy.

Meat contains a chemical that makes you feel full, so cutting out meat can make it hard to start with.

Anyway here are some simple ones to start with.

Pasta sauces. You can do a lot with pasta. If you make a tomato sauce for paste you can add many things to it, including grated carrots, eggplant, beans (I like borlotti beans). You can combine this with a little bit of ground beef or chopped bacon.

Another one is roast vegetables. Basically slice potatoes, capsicum, carrots, mushrooms, zucchinni eggplant etc and coat with olive oil (or melted butter if you like) then bake them until done.

This can be easily combined with a little bit of meat, or even sprinkle some chopped fried bacon on top.
