I have been training in mma for a year, trained in Japanese and Brazilian jiu jitsu. My club is really good for stamina, technique but the guys in are club are infamous even the ones i train with. I weigh on average now 88 kilos and im 16. My opponent is 18 and around my weight. I was told he was taller than me but not as stocky (shoulder width). I recently found out that he is huge, rugby player build.
One of the instructors, sorta of the boss of the club, said he wouldnt put me in unless he knew i could do it. But there is a natural strength difference. My ground work , i have been told, is exceptional my stand up was getting really good, but recently i got a bit sick but i still went to training. I am a firm believer in pushing through pain of illness. now i have discovered that i now flinch and close my eyes when i get hit a major problem. I am trying to work past it ,my fight is near the end of september.
