    3G on iPad? Help please?

Does 3G on iPad mean that wherever you go you can automatically wirelessly connect to any Internet server wherever you are, e.g on the street?

It uses the mobile phone network, so as long as you have a signal you can get on the net.
You do of course need a contract with a phone company.

No 3G means that you can use a cellular network so you don't have to connect to local Internet network to transmit and receive data, it works in more places and you are in control of your data. You're thinking of WiFi. The 3G iPad also has WiFi.
