Samsung BD-P1590 Blueray Player Trouble!?

My husband and I were given this model blue ray player along with a wireless router. We have successfully connected the wireless router into the computer and everything seems to be working, but we're having trouble with the blue ray player recognizing the connection. We know there is a signal because our daughter is able to connect via her DSI. The front of the player says its wireless ready, so we're hoping to get a little advice on which direction to go!
