    My DVD-DivX player wont read HD format films. Can i convert format of file so its

    not HD? Made a few data disks to watch films on DivX player downstairs on the television but wont play HD format how or can i convert the movie file so its not HD? would Windows movie maker do the job?

    at least your TV doesn't support a HD resolution (720p or 1080p) you won't be able to watch them on your tv, i recommend you to encode your fils in 480p (640x480 or 720x480), the best software to do that is Total Video Converter, also is a good option AllOK video converter.
