Do you find any humor in having been stabbed by a professional? C/C?

    Tagged and Bagged

    It all started in Radiology.
They said they had to drain me
    of some fluids collecting inside
which they had been killing for awhile
with those dripping fluid sacky things.
… So they stuck a needle in me,
a needle with a large hole inside.
I knew then why people yelled when stabbed.
Overall I was not impressed with lidocaine
or the damn surgeon cowboy telling me to buck up.
I was feeling sick and the damn pan was way too late.

    Ugly green bile launched from me;
my revenge to that cowboy Doc’s needle.
They cleaned me up and rolled me out.
Lassoed with a tube attached to a sack.
So much for revenge, I was tagged and bagged.

I have had so many needles stuck in me that if they were sticking out I would look like a porcupine.

We gotta find humor in the most humorless of circumstances if only to keep our minds intact. Ain't never easy to be tagged and bagged and stabbed, but crying and becoming mad won't make the lidocaine work better or the needle go away.

It might be humorous on the outside looking in, and your poem puts the laughable spin on it, but when you're in the midst of it? Not so much! I spent two weeks in the hospital about a month ago, had three operations, was poked, prodded, stabbed and connected to all sorts of medical devices. It wasn't much fun-- at least while I was there! Now I can laugh about it, but only a little.

I do really like your poem, though-- Nicely done, as usual, Neon!

... I do not want their knives or medicine near me
my baby sister sent me a picture of what they did to her
slit her neck it seems... bruised intensively
I told her to take lots of vitamins, C of course it
takes the swelling down, the bruises nullifies

and then I had them pull my
    fingernails
one at a time from off my finger tips
    ...youch!!!
and I paid to have this torture to my person
to boost my morals> no not that
    my happiness??? lost words
(where do we go to find them)
where is the lost and found
your poems always hit a nerve and spill
    my bilish poetic attempt upon
my answering you as I seem to
    just go on
    and on...
