I'm an atheist, with a Christian girlfriend. So, sometimes I join her to church. She likes that, I have no problem with it. For some weird reason (call it respect) I don't feel the need to mock god inside a church.

When I burn my bibles, I do it in the privacy of my own house. When I see a priest, I never throw a gay couple in his face. Every time one of my girlfriends needed an abortion, I never felt the need to proudly run out on the street to shout how darn pro-choice I was again. (To the less sane people: the last 3 sentences were over-the-top, to make a point)

It's called respecting peoples beliefs. I don't know any atheist that doesn't respect religious people when visiting a church. I don't know any atheist that tries to convert random strangers on the streets. It's called respect.

Why do Christians assume I want to be 'witnessed to' anywhere I go? On streets, in bars, in parks, even inside my own house. Why is that?
