If I say I don't know, is the default answer "god"? Why? Shouldn't "god" who is more complex than anything in this universe require a creator? If you really think about it, you're being biased in your way of thinking.
I don't know. Ask me how many gods I invented to cover for my lack of knowledge.
As an aside note, so far among things thought to be caused by gods, 0% were.
