    When you are converting divx to dvd format are you compressing or uncompressing?

    I always thought it was being compressed, but the space on the disc is reduced cuz once converted it is using more data on the disk. Just a quick question.

    Both formats are compressed. You can't "uncompress" video. It's being transcoded from one format to another. That's it.

    i believe its uncompressing, not 100% sure though, sry
