Why can't Trump laugh at himself? Why does he take himself so seriously?

There were some really funny jokes told about Trump at the WH Correspondent's dinner that everyone laughed at except for Trump. Whenever anyone gets made fun of at the Correspondent's dinner they always have a sense of humor about it and laugh. Trump sat there stone faced and didn't crack a smile. Why does he take himself so seriously? Why can't he have a little bit of fun at his own expense?
