Fiat Stilo air con belt snapped, is it ok to drive?

The air con belt has snapped and I need to make a 60 mile trip, will it be ok to drive with no air con on, or does the belt provide any other purpose?

often a belt drives more than one thing ( economics) so check an d see how many 'pulleys' belt went over . if only two? say crank and air con pump? then no worries drive . if however it ran over a third ( or more) pulleys we need to ascertain what it went over. for example water pump?, only then can we decide if it is ok or not.
