my blackberry curve 8520 wont download any apps from the blackberry app world, yet i have a friend with the same phone as me and same stuff on it e.c.t and she can still download apps from there why is this happening?

Because she has a data plan and you don't.
Ring your provider to add data to your wireless plan.
