s2000. rx8 is a p.o.s.
Actually...you should just buy a cheap miata (for the weekends) and a daily driver car (maybe something like a ws6 or camaro z28) for the 12k you'd spend on either of these cars. S2000 is a great car all around but if it snows where you live you can't drive it in the winter.
I see some rx8s for under 10k so you could actually buy two cars for the price of that s2000...only problem is that the rx8 is not reliable, particularly fast, or fun to drive.

The Mazda RX-8 is the only rotary engine auto. I would probably opt for the Honda only for this reason or might consider resale value, which is probably better with the S2000.
