and merge back? I commute to and from work. Its an hour away, with traffic it could take like 30 minutes more. What I do, is go to the first lane, pass the shoulder, make sure no car is entering the highway, signal, go on the merging lane, pass around 30 cars, and merge back no problem. I do that around five times, and it does save me a good 25 minutes.
I talked to a few people , some say, as long as you are not on the shoulder , you are good.
Others would say, that merging lane is ONLY to merge to the highway, not from it.

What is the answer?
