Does anyone know if there is a iOS compatible asset solution?

I'd like to incorporate an asset tracking solution in my workplace that would implement iOS technology since this is what is readily used by many people at our different locations. I'd like for it to update a remote server while our three buildings are being tagged. I know there are home-based asset trackers for the iPhone, but I'm looking for one on an enterprise scale (multiple instances, update on the cloud, etc.)
I've seen a lot of Windows Mobile devices, however these are usually with 5.-6.1 OS. I'd be concerned about support for these items (not to mention the monumental price difference).

I've searched around on Google and the App Store and haven't been able to find much. Is this a corner of the market that has yet to be tapped? It seems to me like it would be a great idea to implement this on the iPhone with the camera to scan barcodes.

Any help would be appreciated.
