Question : What horse/pony should I buy?

I'm looking for horses and ponies for sale so maybe I could go look at them. I'm looking for one that is gentle, good with kids and beginner riders. I do not want them to be herdbound either. Looking around $1,300 or lower. I don't want my parents to be spending too much for a pony for me. Here are a couple I have found and tell me what you think I should go look at and why.

I am really looking for a horse under 15.3 hh and lower. I know there are some ponies/horses for sale for $2,000, but may ask if they will go lower. (Doubt they will, but we do have a chance).
