Verizon iPhone use a sim card?

I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to this type of thing. What I want to know is: My husband is in Kuwait and is under the impression that if I switch our service to Verizon and get him an iPhone, he can put an existing sim card that he has out there in the phone and use the phone out there.

No, I am sorry it is not possible. I recently unlocked my iPhone through a third party unlocker, Simpleunlocking.com and hence very well aware of the unlocking process. Only GSM phones can be unlocked. Verizon is CDMA and hence it cannot be unlocked.
