How do you get Quicktime movies onto DVD?

The answer's obvious, I know but my PC has a DVD and CD burner but my PC is not recognising it.

Why could this be? Can't figure it out!

Your PC is not recognising what? The drive or the disc?

Please be more specific: Exactly what is your computer not recognizing? Is it not recognizing the CD/DVD burner, the disc, the video file, the burning software?

You need a media player that can play MOV files on a computer. Use KMPlayer:
    http://kmplayer.en.softonic.com/

    or VLC:

If you want to burn your movies to a DVD so you can watch it on a regular home DVD player then use this:
