why wont control alt delete work?

a program froze so i hit control alt delete to delete it and i hit the end process and the frozen program wont go away! i have an hp laptop with vista

When all else fails, sometimes you just have to pull the plug, so to speak. Just turn it off, and let it sit for 5 minutes before you turn it back on.

Either your system is affected by virus so that ctrl+alt_delete is disable or your keyboard is not working

if your looking for task manager try control shift esc

Mine did that as well,froze booting up.Wouldn't ctrl alt delete,or wouldn't shut down either.He said to take out battery.Even over doing a shut down.

Restart the computer.

sometimes everything will freeze do to the program so just restart your computer.
