Subwoofer/ Car Audio help!?

Alright guys, I'm 16 and im getting a 2005 Ford Escape from my parents when I turn 17, which is soon. The speakers in the car have a tear. I want subwoofers for the car. My questions are: Would i need new speakers and subwoofers?, Whats everything i would need for the setup?, And how much would it cost for everything around?
