I'm going to buy an iPad, a queation about the apps?

I'm getting myself an iPad when its coming out again this year. I own an Ipod touch 4G already. Will my ipod touch apps work on the ipad. and if so, wil the quality still be the same.

eg. I have angry birds installed from itunes, if i put this on my ipad, will it work fine, retain its quality etc. I don't want to pay an extra couple-a-bucks for the HD version.

The way iPod touch apps work on the iPad is that the app can either they can be the same size A's the iPod touch is, and then there is just a huge black border around the app. Another thing you can do is tap on a button in the bottom right corner, and it blows up the app to 2x the size. It gets a little pixelated, but it gives you 2 options.
