I'm not so sure Iran's and their beliefs are compatible with each other, but if I recall Iran wasn't too happy with Russia recently and I did think that Iran wants to export Revolution.
I could see militants in Chechnya finding inspiration, though.

Currently with all the army build-up that is going on in Russia, i don't think anyone would be stupid enough to try something like that. Russia has been relatively quiet for several years now. Something is brewing there and I wouldn't want to be anywhere close when it will blow.
