How do I change the "me" character on my Lg Gossip Live Square Wallpaper?

I have an LG Gossip phone and I have Live Square on it. I tried editing the "Me" Character on it but I was unable to do it. I found a few suggestions by others on google but no luck. Some people said to hold the avatar down for a few seconds and that will let me edit it but all it does just goes in to settings. I'm so frustrated with this!!!! Did anyone else found the way to change it yet? If yes can you please give a detailed instructions to do so?

I'm not sure why the other method isn't working, but see if you can do it on your profile in your directory.

You hold you finger, on the AVATAR.. no need to highlight or anything like you do with the contacts.

JUST HOLD YOUR FINGER ON THE AVATAR AND WAIT UNTIL IT CHANGES SCREEN.
