I have a DirecTV TiVo (Hughes model, 32 hour recording time) which I think I have had since 2006. I moved about 4 months ago, brought it with me and just plugged it in. It doesn't do anything beyond the grey "Welcome. Powering Up..." screen. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Is this just because I haven't moved it for a while? I also don't have DirecTV at the moment, could that be why it isn't working? If it is a hard drive failure (which is what I have seen the most common answer to this problem is) does that mean I have lost all my recordings?
