What should I do if I am wiring my amp to my car and the stereo has no remote wire?

I'm trying to wire my amp to my car and the stereo has no remote wire. Should I hook up the amp's remote to another wire in the stereo or install a switch onto the remote?

You can do 2 things... hook a toggle switch up to your 12v continuous from your radio, and then hook it up to your amp.... or...every stereo has a 12v continuous and a 12v ignition wire ( it turns on when you turn your key) you can splice, and hook a wire from your 12v ignition and run it to the amp... make sure it is not continuous or you will drain your battery.

    Good Luck!
