I am going to say Ovechkin has a 20-25 goal season and that is where his production will be for the rest of his career.

The Capitals will either miss the playoffs this year or have to fight tooth and nail to get in.

What do you guys think?

Capitals of the last 2 years have been an underachieving team... look at last year's playoffs (Or look at Ovie, Semin, etc.. and team Russia in the Olympics! lol) They make early exits....
I say Ovie gets to the 35 goal mark.. but doesnt break 100 points like last year.. more like 75 or 80.
Caps have been BAD lately, chalk it up to the flu thats been going thru their locker room (hitting Mike Green currently, Brooks Laich last week, etc).
They'll come around, go on a tear and win 4 or 5 straight... theyre still in contention for top spots in the east.... playoffs will be a different story though. Too many stars, too much ego.

You seriously think..

Alexander Ovechkin will average only 20-25 goals per season?

I think you need to set aside this horrible idea, and ponder on which way the bulb in your desk lamp screws in.
