    What is DivX and when will I need it?

    I've got a new computer and I have that program. What is it for? I know I can watch movie with it but.. is it really useful?

    Omg i HATE that most of it is just , SPAM SPAM SPAM

    I advise you to use another program to watch movies . and such .

    Videos you download online will come in many different formats, AVI, MKV, MP4 and so on. They are mostly recorded in a code (or encoded is the technical term) with DivX.

    Is it absolutely necessary to have it? No.

    I suggest getting VLC. Download it, install it, dont ever have to worry again about playing another video.
