I know that to use a phone that isnt sold in Korea, you have to go to the MIC or the official branch that deals with this stuff and pay like 2000 dolllars to get it activated, because of IMEI whitelisting and a bunch of other stuff i do not really understand (apparantly it only costs one tenth of that if the phone lacks bluetooth..?).
now the galaxy s is out in korea and in the US as well (on all 4 major carriers. they are the same connectivity hardware wise, correct?). so if i bought a verizon galaxy s (2 of korea's providers use use wcdma), and take it to korea, can i get it reactivated with a korean number, without doing additional registering (since the phone is out in korea as well, or will it be a different case since the verizon galaxy is slightly different from the stock galaxy s?)

and on the sidenote, is there a way to install a korean version of android on a US phone (although that would probably void the guaranty right?)
