Can you unlock the LG Flip Shine 8700 for Rogers?

i want to purchase the LG Flip Shine 8700 but it is onlt availiable with telus mobility. is there a way to switch the phone over to rogers so i can add it to my dads roger bill instead of having another phone bill? some please help!?
i live in canada so Rogers and Telus mobility are our phone and cable companies

No, the LG Shine 8700 being used by Telus is a CDMA phone (not compatible with GSM). Telus has not yet begun supporting GSM equipment on their own network (they only just announced an intention to begin creating a GSM network a coule of months ago but the process will likely take years).
