I recently downloaded a movie clip that required the xvid codec, which I thought I already had installed...however, it didn't appear to be working, so, I installed the latest version of the codec and got an error during installation saying that the codec couldn't be installed. I uninstalled and tried again, but got the same message.
I restarted, then tried again, and it worked...but the file still won't open. The person who sent it to me downloaded the same file as me and has no problems on his computer, so what might be wrong?
