A website that I uncovered awhile back while working with a client is Eventbrite. The site let’s you setup an online event management application. Included in the available features are the ability to sell registrations for events as well. You can even sell sponsorships to people for the event as well.
My experience with using Eventbrite was for a charity golf event for a client and the Eventbrite service worked like a charm. It managed our ability to sell thousands of dollars of entry registrations and sponsorships.
Aside from these initial features our event wasn’t large enough to really make use of all the other available features:
  • collecting attendee information
  • attendee registration and payment
  • sponsorship registration and payments
  • attendee reports (download in Excel)
  • website integration
  • e-mail invites and RSVP’s
  • collect payments with credit card processing
  • discount codes
  • remaining tickets (tiered registrations available as well)
  • accept and integrate offline payments
As you can see, loads of features and the interface is really easy to use as well. If you’ve got an event coming up give Eventbrite a try. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
